Financial Accountant

Menar Mining Services (Pty) Limited would like to employ a Financial Accountant to take responsibility for their operations in the Northern Cape, Mpumalanga and Gauteng.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database

• Plan and record variable operational costs

• Prepare budgeting reports

• Analyse and report profit margins

• Prepare monthly cost forecasts and reporting on variances

• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

• Coordinate physical inventory counts

• Takes responsibility for the statutory accounting and reporting and completion of the statutory accounts in a timely manner

• Gathering and monitoring financial data and transacting on the financial system.

• Preparing monthly and annual statements (balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements)

• Month-end and year-end closing

• SARS related matters

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• B Comm – Accounting

• Completed Articles - SAIPA or SAICA

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a mining environment

• Must be willing to do extensive travelling
