Mining Journalism Training
In 2017, Menar established the annual Mining Journalism Training (MJT) programme with an initial focus on practicing journalists and journalism students who were interested in covering mining-related stories. The programme has now grown into a knowledge-sharing platform to promote mining literacy skills and is open to people from all professions to familiarise themselves with the complexities of the industry.
Menar Youth Club
The Menar Youth Club aims to encourage growth amongst young employees through developing their skills and mining industry knowledge. This creates the ideal environment for leadership development and mentorship to take place.
Job Shadowing Programme
The Job Shadowing programme is an opportunity for a young person to spend time observing a member of the Menar team as they go about their daily activities. The mentee will get a view of the various tasks involved in being at the helm of a busy corporation.
