Group Sourcing Analyst
JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible to constantly analyse and optimize the supplier base.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that sourcing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets to enable the Company to function and compete effectively in the market
Create and review opportunities to implement best source suppliers to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings
Ensure supplier vetting system, sourcing policy, guidelines and relevant documents are in place and updated when required
Ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and delivery of sources products
Rationalise supplier base and bundle spend with Strategic and Preferred suppliers
Manage relationships with suppliers and select and develop new suppliers
Assess commercial terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms
Review existing agreements and minimum standards to optimize commercial terms
Assess tenders from potential suppliers
Implement a system to measure effective performance of suppliers
Manage, coach and develop subordinates
Communicate with stakeholders the impact of supplier change and potential effects on supply. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service, whilst optimizing costs
Stay updated on any changes to suppliers that may affect the supply and demand of products and material
Ensure Procurement targets as required by the DMRE are being met
Enforce safety, health and environmental integrity principles applicable to area of responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Grade 12 with Relevant business/commercial degree equivalent to Level 5
Must be able to implement and monitor all sourcing systems
Must be computer literate, Microsoft Office Essential
Proven experience in a sourcing, preferably in the mining environment
Must be able to analyse spend data, segment categories/suppliers and determine a sourcing strategy
Must be able to add value and reduce costs
Knowledge and technical understanding of mining processes
