Senior Foreman

A mid-tier mining group is looking to recruit a Senior Foreman.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12,

• Minimum N3

• Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate,

• Flameproof certificate

• Gas testing certificate

• Certificate in management will be an advantage, and

• Valid driver’s license

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience on earthmoving machines, and

• Minimum of 5 years management or supervisory experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to develop, review and update procedures,

• Proven supervisory skills,

• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems,

• Ability to meet production targets.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To lead in the engineering researches, design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of machines, manufacturing equipment, electrical installations and facilities,

• Review, develop and maintain the required policies and procedures,

• Ensure that there is compliance to HSE commitments and standards,  

• Lead and direct the work of others, and display a wide degree of creativity & latitude, and

• Ensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
