Talent Manager
JOB PURPOSE
A fast-growing Mining Company is currently looking to employ a Talent Manager with previous mining exposure. The successful incumbent will be responsible to advance the career of talented individuals in the Group
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise with HR Managers and Line Managers to identify and develop potential talents by means of conducting regular talent identification exercises in line with agreed principles
Uses systematic processes and judgement to assess the overall current and future resources and talent levels across the group and determines short, medium- and long-term strengths, gaps and needs
Support management and employees with the development of staff
Drive learning and development efforts to accelerate capability
Provide tools, coaching and support to help improve mindsets, behaviours and actions
Creates talent database
Conduct Talent assessments when required
Working closely with Group HR Manager to identify top talent and development programmes for such individuals
Develop recruitment plan with particular input on the impact of attraction and retention
Develop talent policies, procedures, plans and programs
Act as the main point of contact for Performance and Development Plans (PDP’s) and ensuring timely submissions of PDP’s
Be responsible for all Human Resources Development initiaitves, e.g. learners, bursaries, internships
Be responsible to ensure that training aligns with agreed EE and WSP targets
Works closely with employees to ensure that they understand the learning and talent development plan and their role in achieving the agreed plan
Define career paths
Looks for ways to continually improve organization learning and development
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
HR Degree
At least 10 year’s sound experience in the HR/Talent Management/Training
Demonstrate coaching and mentoring skills
Excellent communication, presentation and people skills
Must be able to travel
